Ahead of this year’s Charter Hall Community Spirit Award being announced this Wednesday evening, read below the final profiles of our 2024 nominees.
Walter Rosada, the current Manager of both First and Fourth Grade Eastwood teams, has tirelessly assisted the club for 10 years. Dedicating countless hours each week, Wal is a great club man who has followed his own son’s progression from juniors to grade rugby. Over the years, Wal has become a great asset to Eastwood and a reliable sounding board for the club and its stakeholders.
For over 26 years, John Wardell has ably assisted as manager and mentor for many within the Northern Suburbs community. John is the ultimate professional, often providing food and hydration out of his own pocket to ensure everyone in the club is looked after. John is selfless, brings everyone in Norths together, and embodies a team-first mentality.
Will has quickly become one of the key members of Sydney Uni’s operations since reaching out to the club in 2023. Will is present at the club every day to assist at all levels of operations, earning the respect of all players and people involved in the club. A diligent young volunteer, Will always puts the club’s vision before his own. He has an amazing ability to make everyone feel valued and involved, always asking how he can be of service to The Students.
