Sydney Rugby Union have confirmed an Independent Review (IR) will be undertaken of the SRU Board’s decision regarding Eastern Suburbs Rugby Union Football Club and Player Points in relation to Round 11 of the Premiership Rugby season.
Senior counsel has been appointed by the SRU Judiciary and Appeals Panel.
The Independent Reviewer has provided instructions and a detailed timeline to all the Premiership Clubs Chairman, Presidents, and General Managers.
The timeline is short to allow the review to be finalised and the decision distributed prior to the conclusion of the season.
As previously advised to Premiership Clubs, SRU intends to accept and implement any recommendations handed down by the Independent Review.
SRU will not be making any further comments.
